Where are the ads using bush's own appearances/words against him?
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 06:39 PM by nu_duer
I'm talking about seeing actual clips of bush saying (or appearing with the phrase):

"I'm a uniter, not a divider"

"Mission Accomplished"

"mushroom clouds"

"I hit the trifecta"

and arrogant snicker after arrogant snicker after arrogant snicker...

With a tag line like: "george w. bush - what IS his plan - for YOU ?"

I really want to see an ad like that.

1. Where are the ads showing him just sitting for seven minutes
That would be a powerful ad. Where is it?

2. I had the same idea--those seven minutes, no sound except the
muffled sounds in the classroom.

No voiceovers or music.

6. But has it ever been done? We really don't know the effect -
Imagine someone having time to go to the restroom, coming back seeing that "he's still there." They watch, then attention falters - they go make a sandwich, and come back to see that,"he's still there."

And if the media storm of the swift boat liars is something, can you imagine the play a seven-minute ad of junior not acting in a national emergency would get?

Way expensive, I'm sure. I'm not even sure if it's doable (maybe they could split it up between segments of CSI or something). But effective - I think the only way to really know is to do it. I think it has the potential to be decisive.

3. I really thought that the
DNC was going to blitz with those kind of ads this month. I'm very disappointed that they don't or won't and that's why I sent money to moveon and not them.

8. This campaign hasn't started yet, DNC needs to conserve money
this fall is going to be rough. Look at the drama now and it's only August... think of October.

5. Or how about "I believe in a HUMBLE foreign policy"
or that our troops should not be used for "nation building".
