Repubs and 527s

The repubs keep saying when talking about the Swift Boat Liars that the problem is with the 527s.....that is not the problem....the problem is when 527s flat out lie and say things that are in direct conflict with the facts. That is the problem!

1. Didn't someone try to regulate 527's at one time?

Seems to me that Moveon was under fire by some repubs who were trying to introduce legislation to limit them. Obviously can't remember the details, but it seems like it happened earlier this year. Someone was pissing and moaning about Moveon.org anti-bush ads or something along those lines. So screw 'em. They just simply can't have it both ways.
