Obama's polls are tightening in some key states and in national polls.

There are only 2 people (since Edwards is probably out thanks to the Enquirer) who could excite the party if named VP: Gore and Hillary. Gore appears to have better things to do with his life. That leaves Hillary.

Does anybody here really think that the average voter would give a damn if he nominates Kaine, Bayh, Biden, etc.? Of course not, they'll give a collective yawn.

People here keep bringing up that the RW would be energized if she were on the ticket. Go cruise the Freeper's site and the other RW blogs, they absolutely detest Obama and now think that Hillary is the better of the two (wonders never cease...). So, I don't think Hillary is the one who will make them come out in droves to vote for McCain.

But that's OK, I had enough of the left ignoring the fact that millions of people actually do like Hillary and that's why they voted for her over Obama.

We could have had an awesome ticket, the demographics they each attract compliment each other. They are not the best of friends, but so what? I don't hang out with every one of my coworkers either, who does? They only need to be able to work well together and I think that they could do it.

The people who are sowing division are the Clinton haters who shriek mindlessly -- the Knights of Umbrage, as someone here called them -- whenever Hillary's name is mentioned and someone points out she'd be the best possible running mate.

God forbid anyone pay attention to the fact she very nearly won the nomination -- why pay attention to 18 million votes? -- or to the fact she consistently polled better against McCain than Obama did, or to the fact three different organizations' polls over three months showed that she would help Obama as his running mate.

After all, if we pay attention to those facts and recognize that she is the best possible choice for VP, we'll be accused of "sowing divison" by silly Clinton haters.
