For those of you who are not familiar with his background, he was a Navy Seal during Vietnam, & was injured badly while rescuing his crew.

He lost his leg, & won the Medal of Honor, a very rare award. And as a bit of trivia, John McCain s father was CINCPAC at the time, & gave him a higher award than originally planned, because his actions were so heroic.

He also dated Debra Winger, & was condidered pretty hot.

Be leery of Bob Kerrey! He ran against Clinton in 1992 and was ticked that he did not win or rather that Clinton did. He held out on the Omnibus Budget Bill of 1993 just to make the Big Dog beg and squirm. Remember that was the Budget Bill that passed without a single repuke vote and ushered in the Clinton prosperity. On a side note, limpdick loser Dole, Senate Minority Leader at the time, made a point to visit Clinton before Bill ever presented his budget to tell the new president that no Republican would ever vote for it!

Now back to Bob Kerrey, he also rather relished dissing Clinton during those 9/11 investigation hearings. He's an egotistical prick, with baggage and dashed dreams of his own political ascendancy who cannot be depended on.

Why Kerry Is Fit to Be President

The former Navy personnel who are attempting to discredit Sen. John Kerry's record of service in Vietnam are doing so to argue that he is unqualified to be commander in chief. Most appear to be angry with him on account of his opposition to the Vietnam War, not his service in it. They have done a better job of damaging the reputation of the U.S. Navy than they have of damaging John Kerry.

Moreover, they ignore what I consider to be the most important qualities any commander in chief must possess. If elected in November, John Kerry will make an exceptionally good commander in chief.

Citizens may disagree with every other position he has taken in this campaign or they may dislike the legislation he enacted during his nearly two decades of service in the U.S. Senate. But they should have no doubt about his capacity to perform the duties of commander in chief.

For the record, I do not include the fact that Kerry commanded a Swift boat among the main reasons that he will be a good commander in chief. I don't even include the fact that he chose to serve in the military and to go to Vietnam. I am impressed by his service and by the loyalty of the band of brothers who served under his command. And as a Vietnam veteran myself, I do hope that one of our own will make it all the way to the White House before I die.

I say that cause, just two weeks ago I was on vacation with my parents and I asked my dad "Why hadn't we heard from Kerrey?" My dad who is Friends with Mr. Kerrey said he guessed that Bob had nothing to say. Well after seeing your post I call my dad and told him his friend was on the loose. He laughed. He also said that Kerrey must be pissed cause of the lies about John Kerry. I have never meet Kerrey, but my dad says what you see is what you get.
