If Jon Stewart or Colbert had made it, it might be considered satire in some way. They are comedians after all. But a presidential candidate?

After hearing yesterday's fundraising numbers from David Plouffe I am now convinced that McCain's attack ads are a giant cash register funneling money into the Obama campaign from new donors, disgusted with his trivializing America's real issues.
Keep at it McCain. Keep blowing your dollars and helping Obama rake them in. It must be the "new math"...

still don't, but know it's a joke they just still don't get?
I think they all are working for McSame's media crew--and I'm not joking...

actually, they're not clever enough to be drug induced. But seriously...did they do focus groups and say "oooh, Paris Hilton is a divisive figure!"

These ads have all been focus group-tested to appeal to voters favorably inclined to consider choosing McCain.

go to the CNN site and read the comments. My favorite so far, from "Andy in TX" August 1st, 2008 4:14 pm ET "These attacks against Obama as the "annointed one" from Republicans whose leader told the world that God wanted him to be president?" http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/08/01/mccain-ad-on-obama-they-will-call-him-the-one/#comments

|
That MSNBC David Gregory scream-fest all (except for Maddow, of course) gave McSameAsBush the week for driving the debate!
So did ABC and Stephaleffaloppolus. McSameAsBush has a point comparing Obama to Charlton Heston!
And the polling does seem to be closing the gap at least nationally.
Don't get me wrong, I still think McSameAsBush is a horrible candidate who is going to wilt as the campaign shifts after the RNC, but I will feel better if Obama starts going after McSameAsBush harder this week going into the Olympics.
As is always the case, we know the Rovepunkian strategy: Obama is an uppity n*****r told through code words and images (he speaks too well! He's skinny! He's as popular as those young sexy white women -- OOOOOH!!!). They've started the Swiftboating and that's how they're going to do it. Obama will need to do more than he's done, and I would like to see him get it done sooner rather than later.
