| Edwards In La Crosse and classless freepers! |
|
I just got back from Edwards' appearance in La Crosse Wisconsin, against the beautiful backdrop of the Mississippi river. However, there was a house boat loaded with classless freepers, covered with * signs. During most of Edwards' speech they booed and chanted four more years. The ironic things is that if this had been Bush they would have closed off the entire Mississippi river (don't want to here any dissent in *'s America, but they don't get that do they. Sad but they showed how classless Repubs can be - their true colors.
I did see one pathetic looking (supposed veteran) carrying a sign that read "I'm not Fonda Kerry" - sad.
Edwards' speech was great - a great stump speaker!

If that was a BUSH rally they would have had a visit from some very scary people. And then they would have gone to jail. EVEN though they were on their OWN property exercising their first amendment rights.
Some guy got thrown out of a BUSH rally and then got FIRED from his job after he asked CHIMPY a few uncomfortable questions at some rally recently.
First off, I'm surprised he got to ask any question that wasn't pre-submitted.
Before they threw him out they threatened to throw him in jail.
WHAT a country!
WHAT a President!
No WONDER why everyone loves him.

Actually on several occasion I did find myself distracted and missed several things that Edwards said - this really pissed me off. After wards there we several people standing by the riverfront screaming at the boat, my thought was to just ignore the poor pathetic freeps. However, I do have a temper and I had to walk away before I opened my big mouth. As far as the crowd I don't know, maybe 2-3 thousand? It was kind of a cool evening. Feingold introduced Kerry's daughter who introduced him. What struck we was the large number of young people and their enthusiasm, to me this is the key -- I think young people are energized (unlike in 2000) and that could turn this election big time! I hope?

Which one were you? Channel 8 news reported 4000 in attendance.
I loved it when Edwards slammed them pointing out that they must be Bush supporters since they were driving around in circles! I agree very low class!
