| 1. His re-election effort has lost some 2.5 million Gay voters. |
|
I personally know 2 of them. Real Freeper types, hated Clinton. They both now will vote the obvious. The feel Bush Chaney have totally screwed them.
I figure that Rove's polling must prove this and that he may not have solicited as many Christian fundies as he hoped for.

that nobody is going to fall for that "compassionate conservative" shit again. I swear, it's like an abuser telling his spouse "I'm sorry I hurt you, baby, just trust me- I won't do it again."

I mean, diagree with the man on policy all you want, I think he truly does love both of his daughters and really believes what he said.
There's no danger in it, since the republicans would follow him off a cliff, so he has room to say what he wants to without any political repercussions.
Is it so hard to believe that he really does think that people should have the freedom to love whoever they want to, and it should be left up to the states?

as long as as it's not with whites." or "I sincerely believe that blacks are free to love whomever, as long as they don't marry whites". Yeah, maybe he does believe it, but in standing by and watching Bush try to push through discriminatory legislation, he tacitly endorses that discrimination. Furthermore, how does one truly love one's child while simultaneously working for an administration that is working actively to limit how she may express her love for another?
not trying to start a flame-war or anything, I just really hate this kind of GOP doublespeak, which is intended to obscure their true position on an issue.

| 12. Kerry doublespeaks - Not so! |
|
Kerry can believe that life begins at conception and still be pro-choice. It seems to me that Kerry may put aside his own belief and put the feelings and desires of his constituents first. I wish more politicians did that!
Politicians are supposed to be the voice of the people remember, "by the people, for the people".

While Dubya can have two mutually exclusive ideas rattle around in his head without ever colliding, I think Cheney is a bit too smart for that (but not smart enough to come up with an adequate doublethink synthesis).

...as a human being.
I think Dick's a cynical, calculating, withered old fart who doesn't know any true emotion aside from his perpetual Attack Dog mentality.
I almost feel sorry for him, to be that entirely devoid of a soul. Almost, but not quite.

It's okay with him that some states would recogize his daughter's marriage and some wouldn't while heterosexual marriages are recognized everywhere? That doesn't make a grain of sense, and he knows it!
