| Bush is better than Nixon at smearing his opponents... |
|
and that is saying a lot! Nixon got absolute joy out of dirty tricks and lying about his opponents. Bush gets something more. He gets a high. It's a power rush. And if he can do physical harm while he is destroying his opponents, so much the better. It gives meaning to his life. He is a leader. He is better than everybody. He is like a dictator. People don't have to like him. They only have to fear him. What a leader!

to do business this way. Since he is a "man" without any real substance or intelligence he relies on much more basic reptilian instincts and methods. This kind behavior seems to resonate with the lower 1/3 or so of the population.

disagree. I think Daddy Bush is behind this. He is the King Pin of Dirty campaigners. Baby Bush is not nearly in his league judgeing by his previous elections. I think daddy is pulling the strings behind the scenes. And yes. I believe that daddy is a master at dirty tricks. But it is going to be even harder to trace it back to baby. The daddy is no rookie at this.

| 3. Why did Daddy Bush...? |

say "read my lips, no new taxes"? And then go back on his word, if he is so clever? Poppy is more like Nixon. Dubya goes beyond them both, imo...

campaigns. I did not say he was good at keeping his word or at campaigning. Different things entirely. He sucked as a president and was that was odvious. But the dirty tricks and nasty smears that he has done throughout his career have worked. And I doubt that even a fraction have been traced back and pinned to him. He is at his best at the behind the scences stuff. And he has lots of connections from his time at the CIA and stuff. I would no more trust that guy than sleep with a rattler.

and I wouldn't trust Poppy Bush as far as I could throw him. But I don't think he has the political instincts or the ruthlessness of George Jr, even though he has more connections and more influence. He is all the things you say about him, I am sure. My point was that since he didn't have the same instincts as Junior, he is not as good or as aggressive with his dirty tricks. Lord knows he will do them. Look at Willie Horton!

| 6. yes. Willie Horton is a good example. |

I also believe a lot of the other things that have been floated--like that Daddy Bush threatened Perot's daughter (said he would release lesbian photos of her to the tabloids right before her wedding). I think he is slick, mean as a snake and well connected.
It is possible that the son is one better than him, but truthfully he just does not seem smart enough to me. He is surrounded by Daddy's men, they carry out Daddy's plans. It was Bush 1 who started the destruction of our economy and loss of jobs too. the baby is just continuing daddy's policies. We should keep an eye on him, but I see the hand of Big Bush controlling everything behind the scences. That is why most of baby's staff are daddy's people. Daddy doesn't trust sonnyboy to run stuff.
But it is just my opinion and I am getting to be a crazy old man. I lost my good union job when the Ford Plant closed under Bush 1. Have not been the same since.
