| Bush's swing through NW Ohio: more of the same rhetoric. |
|
Bush spoke to another set of controlled groups on Saturday. About 2,090 were in Lima, which is a Republican stronghold, yet, they have to have these contained, controlled forums, which the Toledo Blade said involved pre-screened attendees lobbing softball questions to Bush. Then, at Ft. Meigs in Perrysburg, another Republican stronghold, Bush did address about 12,000 people packed in the fort. On a live televised address, he was long on rhetoric, short on substance. He said he understands education (an unfunded mandate), national defense and the war on terror (a war based on lies and still no WMDs to be found). He went on and on. I was rebutting everything with his actual policy as his bullshit was coming out of his mouth.
WillPitt had a good observation a couple of days ago. He was complaining on how people posting on this site are smiling and everything's all right one day, then crying that the apocalypse is upon us the next, based on whatever the news of the day brought. Look between the lines of the two candidates. Kerry addresses mainly forums open to anyone, inviting dissenting opinions and he draws in the tens of thousands. Bush consistently has controlled audiences of a couple-thousands where pre-screened people lob softball questions. Outside of his campaign stops you find dozens of protestors.
I think Bush and his campaign are in for a rude awakening on the evening of November 2.

Many, many people in OH who voted for Bushit have deserted him. And it's not only in OH, it's in PA, in NH, VA, on and on...
They are going down, and they know it.
