| Is It Usual for a VP Nominee to Make the Acceptance Speech Before the Roll Call? |
|
Palin is speaking just before 10 pm CST, and the Roll Call to Nominate her will follow her speech. Why does that seem ass-backwards to me?

| 3. ok. Could they be making sure to give her the National Stage |
|
before yanking the rug out from underneath her.
I am putting the tinfoil on, and am apparently all alone on this. We'll see soon enough.

I thought they picked him by acclamation just before he spoke.

| 11. the roll call is for the presidential candidate, not the VP |
|
That's how its often done. VP acceptance followed by presidential nomination roll call. (Democratic conventions in 2000 and 2004, for instance). The approach we took this year (roll call in late afternoon, vp speech later) was not typical of recent conventions.
