| Giuliani goes after Kerry HARD in speech tonight |
|
i just read through his remarks tonight, and there are TEN mentions of john kerry's name... saying he has no vision for america, he's a flip flopper, etc... he even makes fun of edwards' "two americas" saying he guesses that's so kerry can have it both ways.
so much for that positive, uplifting theme we've come to expect from republicans.

Especially since he dropped his wife for one of them. If that's not flip-flopping I don't know what is.

|
...and that's not including the SBVFT ads. Bush's official ads are overhwelmingly negative and are almost completely devoid of ANY mention of what W's platform. He can't run on a platform.

Will they say it was overheated rhetoric? Will they say it is Kerry-bashing? Will they "Sharpton" him?
I do hope Judy and Wolf don't have double standards.

Tomorrow, the meme will be that Guilani "America's Mayor" (he's not even New York's mayor!) landed a major blow on Kerry...and also a devestating blow by "fellow vet and friend" McCain.
The script reads that by Thursday Kerry's framed to be weak on everything and Bunnypants rides to the rescue.
The only thing we can do is point it out as it occurs and soon our time for bringing this network into account is at hand.
Most Trusted Name in News? Bullshit! Time to shoot that logo down.

Wishful thinking I know. After all we heard about Bush-bashing for a solid week in the run-up to the DNC but I've yet to hear any of them mention that the RNC will have Kerry-bashing. Liberal media my ass.

Are there Dems all over, to defend Kerry & criticize RNC as being mean & negative?
At the DNC, the Rs had Ralph Reed & others out there.
Hope there is a vigorous rebuttal.

|
It's COMPLETELY ARBITRARY. They pick one of Bush's percieved strength (decisiveness), and then attack Kerry as being the opposite. They did it in 2000 (when Bush was "personable,down-to-earth", rove made gore out to be "stiff" and "dull") This is classic Rove, and very transparent.
That being said, the line about two Americas is actually kinda funny.

Flip-flop, flip-flop; what does that even mean? Hello, Kerry's a politician? most of them do this? this is baseline politician behavior? as accusations go, it's still a lot less damning than, oh, I don't know, DELUSIONAL LYING SMIRKING MURDEROUS FUCKWAD WHO GOT US INTO A TERRIBLE WAR FOR ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON, BROKE OUR BUDGET, LOST MILLIONS OF JOBS, AND CAN'T EVEN COMPLETE A SIMPLE SENTENCE WITHOUT FUCKING IT UP.
Or, say, DRUNKEN DESERTER CHICKENHAWK HYPOCRITE.
Or: SPOILED SNOTNOSE COKED-UP OVERGROWN LAZY-ASSED NEPOTISTIC FRATBOY
Or: RAVING FUNDAGELICAL MEGOLOMANIAC PSYCHO.
Just speaking hypothetically.

|
neither ABC or NBC is showing the convention on their schedule tonight, at least not in NYC. CBS has the keynote speech listed at 10PM.
I don't know if the decision to show or not show the convention is the local affiliate's choice or a national one.
