talk about preaching to the choir. Nothing I have seen yet would persuade an undecided voter to support Bush.

Same old catch phrases: "they hate us for our freedom;" "Bush inherited his obstacles" etc etc.

Same old emotional crap: Amazing Grace, crying, singing -- looks like a camp revival more than a political convention.

What's new for this convention? An AWOL national guardsman who never saw a day of combat is depicted as a noble, courageous, patriotic hero.

It's really sickening. I just had to let my disdain flow to my fingertips so that I can get a night's sleep.

9. I'm quite pleased with it thus far.

Bush tried the terror terror terror route with his State of the Union address this January and got absolutely no bounce from it. And it's rare that a President doesn't get a bounce from his SOTU address!

It looks like the GOP hasn't learned that terror terror terror just doesn't have the power it used to. We've seen the graph of the terror alert timing compared to Bush's approval ratings; those alerts are hardly blips on the approval graph anymore. That's great.. for us.

And I'm quite pleased that Kerry won't be spending all week in Nantucket. The speech before the veterans, the campaign rally at midnight in Ohio.. it looks like he's going to be quite aggressive once the Chimp's speech is done on Thursday night. Good for him!

10. Frankly, I feel that bush republicans are vile.

Gross is too complimentary. I called my brother a "republican bastard" last night. He just would not shut up. Tell a lie, then try to talk over the response.

He got me so pissed that I am flying to NYC thursday morning to take part in whatever protest there will be during *'s speech.
