Newly registered voters are rarely on established call lists and we're outregistering the GOP massively.
National polls tend to forget to mention the all important weighting for the electoral college.
Polling companies are, um well, owned by corporations.
Corporate media is reporting the results.
Forgive me if I view them with a bit of a jaundiced eye.

You really know where to hit a girl where it hurts. Of course, you have no idea how I'm facing my upcoming 40th birthday kicking and screaming. God it sucks to be vain.

| 8. hahaha! The phrase's being old doesn't reflect on *your* age, of course... |
|
If anything it's complimentary of your likely literacy.
Besides, we're about the same age. :)

If you want to throw away a valuable tool to see where the campaign is that's your preogative...

In the same day I've seen polls telling me it's Obama in a landslide, others that it's a neck and neck horse race and others that McCain's ahead. Same thing in 2004. Gets a bit tiresome after awhile. Besides, it's not going to influence the full-court press I'm engaged in to get Obama elected. Unfortunately I see them deflating people more than motivating them. So yeah, I do want to throw away that valuable tool from my personal arsenal.
Poll for issues fine. Candidates need that information. Who is winning and who isn't? The only poll that counts is the polling booth.

Bu that's why they are outliers or anomalies...
Even the infamous Gallup Tracking Poll is not that far off...
