I just called the Bush Campaign HQ and I'm pissed

Called to find out if I could get some of those Purple Heart Band aids.

The lady that answered the phone was not sure, covered the mouth piece, and I could hear her asking some one in the background about them. When she came back on, she said she didn't know what I was talking about, but asked if I would like some campaign literature.

When I replied "No, I have plenty." She thanked me for my call and hung up.


Man, am I pissed. I wanted a few of those band aids to take down to the local VFW to show some friends just what THEIR PRESIDENT thinks of THEIR service.

I have sent a copy of that picture to everyone of my repug friends. Each one of them is either a veteran or the spouse of one.

According to this bitch my father, father-in-law and stepfather should have gotten band aids instead of medals back in World War II. Too bad they are all gone, I would have love to see their reaction to this.

I also sent a link to Al Franken at Air America Radio. He's probably already aware of this sh*t but I wanted to make sure. He comes on at 12 noon - hope he mentions it - he is now doing better than Rush "Druggie" Limbaugh in some markets. Also, is finally getting onto some Clear Channel stations. They couldn't ignore him anymore and we know money means more than ideology to Repugs so...

Don't bother Kerry/Edwards anymore, they are on top of it. Call your local GOP, state, national headquarters - we need to burn their time and resources having to answer our phone calls and complaints. Blast the media - make them answer to this nastiness.

as an example of what * thinks of their service is one hell of a good idea.

Talking about Bush's service (or lack of), veteran benefits, etc is just words. But show them a band aid and I'm willing to bet they will take umbrage at that.
