First night: A nation of courage?

"A nation of courage? That's their theme? From a bunch of guys who dodged the draft and hid out in Alabama mail rooms while Kerry got shot up on the Mekong Delta? By a president who sat there like a stunned mullet after being told the nation was under attack, and flew away and hid in Nebraska?

I don't even know where to start. Mrs. Bubba and I were so nauseated we had to leave the room a couple of times, so there's probably even more that we thankfully missed. What a poorly produced and embarrassing spectacle it was.

But let's start with the assistant DA who they trotted out to defend the Patriot Act. He said, among other things, that it is a lie that the Patriot Act allows cops to bash in your door and search your house without a warrant. The Patriot Act just allows them to do it without telling you until later. Huh?"

I can't wait for these elections to be over and done. It will be a breath of fresh air when Kerry wins. If bush wins, God have mercy on this nation and its people. bush and the whole GOP are the nastiest people on earth, and the talk about family values???
