got a couple of emails from Cahill with links saying someone would double my donation, so I tried the link. For an hour. Nada.

Went to the Kerry site. Tried the donation link. Nada.

Swamped or something wrong with the links?

18. Your employer may have the site blocked.

Noticed you mentioned you were trying to donate at work -- if you're going through a server, it's possible your employer has political sites blocked, or that the way the security settings are configured you can't connect with the secured server pages. We were out of town over the weekend and had an awful time checking our e-mail through the remote server because the hotel where we were staying had some kind of filtering on the server that made it difficult to impossible to connect with certain kinds of encrypted sites.

Good luck when you get home -- I just hit up the DNC site, had no problem, so it may be filtering on your work server.
