So the media is all pumped up about the RNC

Everyone is gushing over speeches by McCain, Arnie, Rudy, and Laura. Except for the twins, sounds like the republicans are having a great convention from what you hear on the news.
OK, so now what....
By the time bushie gets up to speak will he be able to maintain all the momentum? or is he going to finish off the convention with a drizzly performance.
Maybe all this gushing about the speeches at the early point will make everyone actually expect something brilliant to come out of bushies mouth. Do you really think he will be able to keep it going?

1. If he stood up there and

drooled, the media would talk about how he is just like Winston Churchill.

The media was finally starting to slam this administration, now they seem to be loving the convention.
I really don't know if they will give him a pass, or if they are really going to expect "more" from him at this point. I am just wondering if they are setting the pedestal so high because of the speakers so far that bushie can't possibly keep up.

Kerry is being Gore'd by these people. All throughout the Dem convention you couldn't enjoy the speeches without hearing from ugly Repukes like Ralph Reed, Norm Coleman, Bob Dole, Joe Scarborough, etc... And now why the RNC is going on NO Dems get to respond to these speeches.
He's being Gore'd Folks. Last Night Aaron Brown spent about 10 minutes defending Bush's flip flopping then him and his entire panel began to rip Kerry unmercifully. Its the exact same thing that happened to Gore. EXACTLY what happened to Gore.
Wait until the debates. Even when it will be obvious Kerry will get the best of him. THey will be saying Chimpy was great.

7. I think the debates will be another story completely.

I can picture in my head Kerry confronting bushie with some tough words and bushie losing his temper or getting so flustered he can't get out anything more than uhh uh uh.
When you are talking that bushies only real asset - or so they say - is the war on terror, then he is going to have to prove himself. The media can say whatever, but those crucial swing voters will really have to decide for themselves.

Because he just does that sort of thing; his friends in the media insist upon it.
Let's see what the jobs data say this week. Whatever rise the Republicans get out of the convention can be instantly deflated by poor job numbers. Consumer confidence took a hit last week; another bad economics report puts Bush on the defensive in the area that actually decides elections.
