Even if they won't admit it in public. If Obama had picked some unknown airhead as VP I would be terribly disappointed in him. In fact, if Obama had done any of the reckless, irresponsible things John McCain has done lately I would be disappointed in him.

I read a NY Times article this morning pointing out that there is misleading stuff in Obama ads and that even disappointed me a little.

5. After Gibson Palin got a do-over. After Couric everyone is abandoning her in droves

including the far Right. They can't win with Palin and they know it. Americans just aren't that flip about a seventy-two year old cancer survivor with a father and grandfather that both died prematurely.

Palin is dead weight. Every time she opens her mouth she becomes heavier. Word is she flunked debate prep with her own team. In their estimation she is "clueless".

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as “disastrous.” One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, “What are we going to do?” The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is “clueless.”
