regarding the medal that Bush wore but hadn't earned . . .
did you know that there's a penalty for that under the Uniform Code of Military Justice? . . .

Punitive Articles of the UCMJ

Article 134 - (Wearing unauthorized insignia, decoration, badge, ribbon, device, or lapel button)

Elements.

(1) That the accused wore a certain insignia, decoration, badge, ribbon, device, or lapel button upon the accused’s uniform or civilian clothing;

(2) That the accused was not authorized to wear the item;

(3) That the wearing was wrongful; and

(4) That, under the circumstances, the conduct of the accused was to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces or was of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.

Maximum punishment. Bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 6 months.

1. Yep and your point
<Channeling a rightie)

This is not 'bout Nam but about the ledership of the President, you should show more respect.

(OUT, OUT! Darn every time I do that they just want to stay... I guess my comforting personality is apealing)

Anyhow the questioning of medals for Kerry was not only about defaming Kerry, but also defanging Kerry. For a second ask yourself if the press actually decided to cover this... do you think the rightiie above will

1.- Care

2.- Claim victimhood and tell you. Kerry is trying to get even.

IT was a preemtive strike.

7. I say let em talk
about it. I don't think that there attempts are doing anything to change key voters minds. The undecideds aren't that way because of amibiguity over social issues or military records... what they are concerned about is the economy and jobs. More talk of the shrubs bad econ. policies and proposed bad econ. policies are the best way to answer the diversion that they've created with the Swifties. Job loss and defecits are what should be pounded home. They've got Kerry on the defensive and the more he answers them the more he dignifies their heinous accusations not to mention waisting valuable time that could be spent on real issues.

...that's what i think... sorry for the rant.
