| 3. Dont know but he did work for Lester Maddox |

then oddly, he turned out to be a decent guy I hear, a good supporter of Clinton and gave a great speech at the 1992 DNC convention, as late of 2002 he was standing up for Max Cleland.

a poster on another thread suggested that Miller's rw turn might be a symptom of early Alzheimers. It seems that victims of that disease tend to begin to want only simplistic answers-so I guess we might conclude that a majority of Rethugs are all pre-Alzheimers.

Plenty of older guys in the congress like Kennedy I think, ummm Byrd, Conyers, Rangel, Dingell, etc who know what party they're in.

| 8. Alzheimer's doesn't effect all old people |
|
My stepfather has it, but my mother doesn't. She's nearly 86, lives on her own, keeps her own books, drives, etc. etc. I think whether or not you get Alzheimer's might have something to do with genetics. My mother's family is long lived-several relatives have lived into their 90s (and I'm talking of the time before medical miracles), and one lived to be 106. Only one that I know of that got a bit bewildered toward the end. My stepfather, at 87, has lived nearly 20 years longer than anyone else in his family, thanks to heart surgery.
Bet if you check, you'll find Miller's family either died young or got dotty as they got old.

| 7. I had that thought, too... |

... and I've long believed Charlton Heston's unyeilding hostility was a pre-Alzheimer's symptom, too. Scary, that people like this are given a microphone.
