| Good News/Bad News; Obama's heading towards a win/which means they'll have to steal it (again) |
|
Are we mentally prepared for what we'll have to do if we wake on November 5th to the news that overnight McSame somehow got the electoral votes needed from some unknown districts in all of the swing states.
I'm not advocating violence, but I do want to ask that we start getting the mindset that we might see a coup in less than one month.
So, let's work for 29 more days, then celebrate on November 4th after we vote, then cautiously be on guard against shenanigans. All the while we need to have in the back of our minds our plans for what we each will do if another election is stolen by the junta. We can't pull a Gore/Kerry and just walk away from another stolen election, there is far too much at risk.
Are you ready for what you'll do in the event that anything from a stolen election to a "terra attack" on November 3rd should come to pass?

Independents I gotta feeling that they will know if it was stolen.
This won't be a "Get over it moment" as in 2004.
The Landslide must be a monumental landslide so there is no doubt about who won.

Kerry and Gore were often no more than 1-3 points either way with Bush, especially by this point in the campaign (I am speaking of when the post-convention bounces subside). If Obama can maintain 5-9 points (average polling) for the next 3 weeks, and it tightens to 4-6 in the final week, we're good.
Plus, so many of the battleground states leaning or solidly in Obama's corner went with Bush in 2000 and 2004. It would take a herculean effort that I am not sure those rat bastards could pull off.
Not that it doesn't worry me... but we're in the best shape we've been this far into October since 1996.

Everyone thought we'd have a faux-terrorist attack in 2006, too.
The margin is going to be much too large ... no way to steal it.

Anything from packing for a permanent foreign vacation country to staying and watching Obama help us heal this country, and anything in between.
It depends on what transpires between now and January 20th, 2009.

| 9. yeah, you can't really steal a landslide... |
|
The perception is that Obama's going to win, so if he doesn't, the reaction will be a huge WHAT. THE. FUCK?! by the 75% of Americans who will have voted for him.
They can really only steal elections where the perception is that it could honestly go either way, since then all they have to do is a few targeted attacks to give them the extra 400 votes to win. The current perception, though, is not only that Obama will win, but that he's heading towards an overwhelming landslide.
Now, maybe they'll try some shit just to turn it from a landslide to just a marginal victory, to diminish Obama's perceived support as he begins his presidency, but they really won't be able to make McCain win, even by a slim margin.

| 15. Yep, if you look at this time in 2004, it was literally too close |
|
to say either person was ahead. They were tied.
It's not close this time.

| 10. Obama has said that he does not do cowering and Democrats should stop it also. |
|
Republicans are not this omnipotent force that cannot be stopped. This election will not be close enough to steal. If it were to be stolen it would prove that Democrats are completely feckless and impotent to stop Republicans, but we are going to win and win big and Obama will not stop fighting until the election is over.

if folks get any problems on election day. That'd about do it, also you can ring to check you're registered to be on the safe side twice if needs be. A lot of states have had overhauls of their voting systems and bought new ones or moved to paper, so only second checking is required it appears to me. Jeff Farias who knows a lot of voting precinct workers seems pretty assured things will go smoothly only thing required is check registration.

and we wake up on Nov 5 to hear he DIDN'T win, well. I won't even talk about the kinds of things that will happen. But it won't be pretty, not at all.
