| Local call-in: Ayers alive and well |
|
A morning call-in program was discussing the debate tonight. If I'm recalling this correctly, the caller was trying to claim, with no specifics, the "tight connection" between Obama and Ayers, thereby showing Obama's poor character. The host pointed out McCain's own character flaws (divorce) and his connection to Keating 5. The caller basically didn't know about the latter and tried to dismiss the topic. The host said further that McCain had written in his book that he regretted his role in Keating 5. The caller no sooner than saying "Mmmmkay" had then switched back to throwing the Ayers mud.
Hope Obama politcally buries McCain tonight.

| 1. Here's what I hope Obama answers with when Ayers is brought up. |
|
"We are in the greatest financial crisis since the great depression. Banks are collapsing world wide, millions are out of work and losing their homes. The stock markets are in a panic. We're spending 10 billion dollars a week on the war in Iraq. Peoples life savings are being lost and John McCain wants to try and link me to the weather underground, an event that happened 40 years ago when I was 8 years old."
Just lay it on him. Every time he tries to bring up a smear point out the absurdity of it and bring the subject right back to the Republican's weakness. The disaster they've created.
