I know he is a college prof in Chicago. Has he said word one? Has the college defended him? I would think if Palin is calling him a terrorist the University would have something to say about this (or his students maybe?)

..so no, that wouldn't help him. If Daley defends him, they'll blast Chicago. And if any of the charities he's sat on the board of defended him, they'll blast community organizers.

5. I told you guys, Ayers was CIA

There were a lot of very public "domestic terrorists" (like Ayers) who were actually plants. It was the CIA's way of co-opting and de-legitimizing the anti-war movement and the Real Left during the Vietnam war.

Think about it this way: Timothy McVeigh bombed one building in Oklahoma and he was executed. Ayers took credit for a masterminding a number of bombings including one on the Pentagon. He is not only NOT in jail but is getting 50 million dollar grants from the Annenberg foundation to reform Chicago Public schools. HUH?

Ayers seems to me to be CIA, which is why he was able to help Obama's career and which is why no one has mentioned Ayers until now. Ayers will continue to be quiet and this will eventually go away, because the real question is not about Obama but about Ayers.

other than that 'coffee' he hosted (one of, i assume, several campaign events), how did he 'help' obama's career?

12. He wasn't CIA.

But the Weather Underground (WU) certainly served the role of unwitting CIA agent of influence. WU demoralized and disoriented broad sections of the left with its sectarianism and militarist tactics. The outright psychotic SLA was just a heartbeat away from them. WU killed the SDS and the nascent left by splitting it along narrow racist lines. Whether or not Ayers was a conscious agent or not, is not relevant. His objective role is the key thing.
