| So Did They Ever Say, "Osama," or "Al Quaida?" |
|
I have to admit: I tried to watch the speeches, but as each speaker hit his or her stride and started spewing not just spin, but actual falsehoods and ad hominem attacks, I had to walk away.
I looked at the graphic in the NYT today -- glanced -- and I noticed there was no to very little mention of Osama Bin Laden. "Nine-Eleven" was whored out for sentimentality, but I never heard mention of the people who actually did it (well, if you think Osama actually did it -- I know theories, abound...;))
But most of the American people think Osama/al Quaida did it -- but, as far as I heard, Osama was ignored.
The scary thing is that I watched all the pundits shoot their jizz all over Bush's snoozer/propaganda of a speech -- but I didn't hear one of these people mention that Bush didn't mention Osama, etc.
Even the New Yord Times graphic, could have pointed it out.
I know pundits suck. A lot of them are conservative, a lot of them are sell outs, and those that are liberal have to pretend to be conservative to keep their jobs -- but are they STUPID? Does anyone have any links to this being mentioned by the media? Or did I just miss it, and there were references to al Quaida?
And further, while it's obvious why Bush would want to keep Osama out of the spotlight -- I'm wondering how many people will think about this.
Of all the horseshit at this convention, I thought that this was the most telling.
