| Poll question: What caused McCain to say "my fellow prisoners"? |
|
When my grandfather was into his dementia he often thought that the people around him (including me) were his old fellow railroad workers.
So was McCain experiencing a symptom of Dementia, a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder flashback or just a Freudian Slip (thinking that we are all prisoners of this screwed up government)?

| 2. I think he thinks of the American people as prisoners to the government. |
|
And since he likes to use lines like "My friends..." it just came naturally.
Oops, we aren't supposed to know we're prisoners.

My father and his girlfriend mix up words all the time and have trouble remember names and words. They are older but I don't think they're senile - just tired-brain syndrome, or something.

Look, he was up WAY past bedtime last night.. he's normally in bed by 9, the debate ended at 9:30, and although he didn't stick around like Obama did.. he still didn't get home and into bed until way late. By the time Cindy gave him his bedtime snack, got him into his Jammies, read him his favorite bedtime story (Why Mommy's a conservative), and tucked him in.. it was nearly 11pm.
That's way to late for McCain. His brain just backfired today as protest to keeping him up so late! Next Debate starts at 4pm.. that way he can get to the buffett by 5:30.

two days in a row, so the phrase just slipped out.
He needed the best med cocktail to get through last night. Even so, he and Cindy had to rush away from the conservative college where the debates were held. And he can't use the strongest stuff two days in a row.
Sorry my gloves are off now that the RNC is tossing kitchen sinks.

| 11. I think it was a psych ploy -- to get people feeling like he's a fellow prisoner |
|
And using the POW thing as background (cynical as hell, even so).
