| GOP hoping to start a bandwagon effect with the Time poll... |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 07:09 AM by Lovecrafty
It's that simple. They assume people will just see some numbers in a magazine, get some talking heads discussing the hopelessness of a Kerry presidency, and therefore artificially induce a bandwagon effect for swing voters...all 100 of them that remain! This election is going to be all about turnout folks..not swing voters! Since the Repukes KNOW (having seen the REAL data they constantly manipulate) the true state of the economy, they are grasping for whatever advantage they can get. Naturally that includes rigging polls. Always has as far back as there has been polling. So don't worry. Just remember the audience when you went and saw Fahrenheit 911!! Do you ever remember seeing an audience clap and applaud a film like that?!! I live in TEXAS for Christ Sakes and the people were applauding wildly at the film...even during the third weeks showings after the die-hard Democrats already saw it!!
And like Moore said, at what point during the Republican Convention do you think the cons magically persuaded a Kerry voter, who was already outnumbering Bush, to suddenly switch to Bush?!! Was it that Zell on Earth moment?! Was it that pathetic Bush Twin Beavis and Butthead routine? Was it the Gropenator lying through his teeth about tanks and socialism in Austria? Was it the standard stump speech Bush gave, almost identical to the ones he's been giving campaigning the last six months? Bush's speech was a "been there, done that" moment..we've heard it all before at some point the past year!

I have been beating the drums for that for some time now. It is the turn out and new voters who are fed up. This will be the largest turnout in history. Yes there will be lots of new voters for * , but the largest amount will be for Kerry. My husband was watching a local program yesterday that focused on college students who were voting for the first time. Guess what they are leary about. You got it, the draft. They all supported Kerry, well, one supported you know who ( must have parents who are paying all the tuition and stuff, and wouldn't want to p*ss them off ). Another thing they said was the fact that * had frozen the pell grants and they were not happy about that. I have total confidence that it will be Kerry in landslide.

| 3. They're talking RIGHT NOW on NPR... |

...about how Democrats are "Oh so worried" and dejected. DON'T BUY IT.
The more they see of this crap, the more they're going to publicize it and it just becomes this big media hairball - a vicious circle.
We can keep an even keel and keep helping Kerry every way we can in positive ways, or we can feed a self-fulfilling prophesy by whining and wringing hands. Choose.

...if you want to rig an election. Otherwise it's a dead giveaway, y'know?

I know I'm sounding optimistic, but the fact remains Bush has stepped on too many toes to pull another stolen election off. And suppose he does? Can you imagine what his innaguration will be like?! Hell I'LL fly to Washington just for that one!! There will be riots and chaos the likes of which this country has never seen! I wouldn't be suprised if the crowd simply surged the podium in an effort to attack Bush...oblivious to gunfire! I think demonstrators will get bolder and Bush's life will be in serious jeopardy throughout his second fake term..Wouldn't be suprised if there is a couple of assasination attempts with all the hatred he will have caused. One thing is for sure, it will be a hellish and chaotic four years for him and he will leave a legacy of violence and national unrest behind the likes this country has never seen! It will be the 60's all over again, but worse. Bush will go down as the most hated and villified President in history (not that he isn't already!). He will get NO glory from his second term that is for sure!

It's not going to take much of anything to have martial law declared to fight "Domestic Terrorism". Hell, that's what the Patriot Act was created to do.
I know I'm really playing the doomsayer today, guess that's just the mood I woke up in. I'm normally quite cheerful, I promise.

Remember the "Fundraiser in Chief" who would overwhelm the Democrats with $$$$$?
Remember the talk of an electoral sweep?

to see what was going on with the hurricane. They keep mentioning the TIME poll over and over and harping on the "double-digit" lead Bush has, but they've not mentioned the Zogby or ARG polls at all. It turns my stomach.
I get a little more discouraged every day. I mean, when you consider how heavily the deck is stacked against Kerry, he's doing an AMAZING job, but sometimes I wonder if it's even going to matter. I mean, Dean has one little very understandable outburst and gets flayed alive by the press, but Zell Miller all but burns John Kerry in effigy at the RNC then has a total psychotic break on Hardball and ... nothing. The DNC was a hatefest, the RNC was all about hope and compassion.
Every time I hear these bastards whining about the "liberal media" my skin crawls. I guess we'll find out in a few days, after the Barnes interview, just how liberal the media really is. If this polling crap is any clue, I doubt anyone will remember his name after next week.
