| Who Says "Terrorism" is #1 Issue??!! |
|
This is one big, stinking con job that has been pulled. Terrorism all through 2003 was rated as the last issue of concern in this country and up until the run up to the RNC, it was way down on the list. I remember an interview with Karen Hughes during the convention where she screamed "terrorism is the number one issue in this campaign". No, terrorism is what Rove has had the media spin in the last month as the #1 issue while telling them to cool it on the economy (only happy news), shut up about Iraq (hope the guys over there realize they have been totally forgotten--wonder if people even realize they have the yellow ribbon stickers on their cars anymore), and hype the jobs numbers but leave out the lousy pay numbers, etc. For all who have ideas of what Kerry should/could/must do, it's really simple. He needs to get the people back to what they've been thinking of for a good 2 years: economy, jobs, healthcare. This has to be his theme and ads in the battleground states and his message in the debates. He can do a little defending himself on the "leadership" issue and then kill Bush on what he's NOT done on all the above and push his own ideas. DON'T LET THEM MAKE TERRORISM THE #1 ISSUE by playing into their game.

3.000 people were killed on 9/11. It was a terrible tragedy.
That was three years ago. Since then the US has killed 70,000 overseas and invaded two sovereign nations in violation of the UN charter.
American terrorism is the #1 issue.
