Is that bullshit? Why?
Is every terrorist in the world in Fallujah and Baghdad? So they could not possibly come over here and attack us in any way while we have most of our troops in Baghdad, could they? And would they have more or less incentive to attack us since we are fighting them over there? I'm tring to find some rationale in thsi stupid ass comment. Could someone please explain?

supremely egotistical. We want to fight the bad guys but we don't want to dirty our own nest. Let us totally disrupt and destroy other peoples countries in order to guarantee our empire.

If you were a terrorist, and wanted to kill as many Americans as possible....where would you go?
To the one place on Earth where they are looking for you and armed to the teeth?...riiiight.

Naval and Air forces overwhelming our meager defenses... whoever 'they' are, that is...
I'm still waiting for the Iraqi TERROR SHIPS to appear on the horizon, as reported by our newsmedia... those and Saddam's super secret fleet of radio operated TERROR PLANES that were supposed to storm the east coast of the US in some kind of super-blitzkrieg.
It's all standard-fare imperialist BULLSHIT.

| 4. There is no rational. It is a simplistic comment derived from a..... |
|
simplistic world view.
This country has never been invaded by another. The closest we have come to that was 9/11. People who make the remark you quoted have no idea what they are advocating. "Fighting them over here" is largely a fantasy nurtured by frightened people. 9/11 could have easily been avoided by paying attention to the warnings, improving airport security, adequately funding the INS. It was our own arrogant belief, however unconcious, that it could never happen to us that allowed it to happen.

... when challenged on the war in Viet Nam--can't let the communists roll over the world, etc.
There's been a fairly conscious attempt by the right to create the same emotional response to "terrorism" as there was to "communism."

|
Hey Mr. and Mrs. Iraqis, is it OK if we invade your country and invite Al-Qaeda (who had no presence in your country before) in and use your country as our own personal battle field? More proof that we did not in anyway invade Iraq to for the complete and total benefit of the Iraq people, and the truly screwed are the Iraqis citizens and our brave solders.

After all...they are NOT Americans, and everyone knows the lives of Iraqis, or the lives of people in ANY other country for that matter, are not NEARLY as important as American lives. After all...we are God's chosen, lead by God's premier chosen.
If a few tens of thousands of them sacrifice their lives for us, God will be less harsh with them. God might not send them to Hell for their lack of Christianity....Now, isn't that worth it?
edit: Wow..."Ckhristianity" got by the spell check...:7
