| Does anyone think Kerry's Iraq war stance will hurt/help |
|
him in the swing states? How about with left-leaning voters? I am asking this because I keep running into people who are left-leaning, and furious with Kerry for saying he plans on sending another 40,000 soldiers into Iraq. These people are so angry that they are not planning on voting for him, because they think that his policy will be as bad as Bush's. They want him to say he thinks the war was wrong, and that he will not continue in the Neocon's footsteps. Does anyone have any input or feedback on this?

| 2. it will be a cold day in hell before I vote for anyone who... |

...does not vigorously condemn the invasion and occupation of Iraq, including John Kerry. I want leadership with the courage to stand up and say "the invasion was wrong and I will end the occupation immediately and unconditionally!"

| 8. Poor George Bush, that mean mean old John Kerry made him invade Iraq |
|
Guess I will have to vote for Bush, cuz Kerry made him rush to war, ignore the inspectors and not let them do their jobs, lie about Saddam and Osama connection, manipulate the CIA evidence, disrespect our European Allies, on and on and on.
John Kerry must be punished for manipulating George Bush like that.

| 9. Yeah? And then what? The problems in the Middle East won't go away |
|
So what are the solution(s)? Pulling out is one. Fine. What then? Bu whom? With what?
I have no problem with pulling out. However, if we've learned nothing else, we now know how messed up this part of the world is and how involved we are in or out of uniform.
So, Bush, Kerry, Mickey Mouse pull out. So what? What then?

| 7. So it sounds like this could be a problem? |
|
I mean, that enough people want a less hawkish stance from him. It seems that he could lose some of his own voting bloc by courting the conservative undecided's. I also wish that he would find a comfortable way of handling the Iraq situation w/o appearing hawkish. I understand why some folks would be furious with him over this. But I also can see the flak he would take for an anti-war stance at this point in time.
