| Every Kerry speech should begin with following line. See if you agree? |
|
The overall strategy needs to be to get the American people who adore Bush to begin to see the "dark side" of his character.
We must start every day, and every speech with these words,
QUOTE "There is a dark and evil side to George Bush, and it takes an act of will not to see it. Can you see it? (followed by audience applause at Kerry events)"
Everything else must flow from that. Every speech must include an example of one of shrub's grat moral and ethical failings.
He lied about WMD He approved torture, etc.

| 1. I suggested some time ago... |
|
...that every Kerry appearance begin with a moment of silence for the young men and women killed in Iraq that day. Just say their names and have a moment of silence.

| 5. The dead and wounded in Iraq need to be mentioned in every speech Kerry |
|
delivers. It only takes a moment and is the right thing to do.

| 3. I think that's a little too heavy handed. |

Kerry needs to attack Bush*, but a little more subtly than that. Every other Democrat needs to say that and more.
Anyway, the people who adore Bush* aren't going to be swayed by anything we say, even if it's the truth and plain as the nose on my face.

| 4. John Kerry is the one who needs to take on George Bush, mano o mano |
|
Kerry is the man who needs to say the most challenging thing that is said about George Bush, and Kerry needs to say it to his face.
The reason I say this needs to be addressed to the Repub base is that this race is all about turnout, energy, organization, and loyalty of the base. Right now Bush has convinced his supporters that he literally walks on water and is God's candidate. If we can dent that image by communicating who he really is (Caligula in training pants), we can take some of the wind out of their sails. Some will stay home and not vote, some will contribute less, others will not canvass, etc.
Your description of this being too heavy handed might be spot on in a "normal" election. But this election is all about ethics and morality, and the talk needs to be straight, blunt and candid, IMO.
This is also important in keeping the media focused on the big picture, and preventing them from letting Bush get away with his usual lies.

many people percieve "evil" as a very strong word, and "dark" as a word that implies something religiously sinister. I agree with the original idea, but maybe slightly different word choice?

|
George is AWOL on debating me. George says his poicies are right for America, but he is avoiding the opportunity to debate me. Why is that George? Why are you AWOL on debating me?
