Oh my gosh, someone was answering my question as I was posting. I thought he said "practice their love". But then the first thing that ran through my mind was that doctor that went to prison for inseminating all those women with his own sperm. And then I thought that even that dumb ass bush* couldn't be so damn crazy as to say what I thought he said. WRONG!

and present himself as a compassionate, family-centered guy. That's the upfront. Behind that, he's really trying to do is paint a sob story picture for why he should be allowed to fuck with the tort laws.

So the picture goes like this: OBGYNs are being hurt by those mean trial attorneys, because of malpractice insurance. That's hurting women, who presumably can't find an OBGYN. Well, ole W stands for women, and he ain't gonna allow that. He wants "tort reform," so he can "protect women."

I've never known a woman who had a problem finding an OBGYN. But maybe I'm just ignorant. At any rate, if you think ole W really gives a shit about OBGYNs, I have a bridge for you. This is about W serving the business interests who pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into his campaign. OBGYNs are just a cover for them. A pretty thin cover at that.

During his "acceptance" speech, didn't he say that OB-GYNs (out of all the specialties in the medical field, mind you) are having to pay too much malpractice insurance? Why the focus on OB-GYNs? This doesn't mean jack-squat to me as a woman, if his intent is to make an appeal on behalf of the women. I've got higher priorities.

I don't get it. There aren't any OB-GYNs in the BFEE or PNAC, are there?
