it's possible, of course. It wouldn't be surprising that Dr. Laura's son was at the convention and, although I don't know anything about him except that he is Dr. Laura's son, some asshole kicked that woman and there's no reason it can't be him.

But it just seems too ... too... coincidental? That's not the word I want. Too wrapped up in a bow like a novel rather than like life.

Besides, would his last name even be Schlessinger? His father's last name is something different.

It seems that this is all based on this one picture in the Hillsdale College paper, which I don't think clearly identifies him as the perp by a long shot, especially as it is a black and white photo which is also too small. I have similar color hair to the Repug Convention Perp, and in black and white photos it never looks as dark as Deryk's hair looks in that photo.

It's a possibility I guess, but I found nothing, for example, to link him to the Michigan Young Republicans. Just because his Mom's a freeptard doesn't mean he is one. He dropped out of Hillsdale College, which I can't really blame him, so I find it unlikely he is a hard core member of the Young Republicans.

This link contains the names of the Pages for the 2004 GOP convention. I believe the kicker was a Page. There is nobody named either Deryk or Schlessinger listed. Isn't it interesting that we're all willing to believe it could be him? I sure was. Doesn't say much for his mother, does it?
