If the newly elected Senator takes office on Nov 4th or 5th, then his term in office would be longer than 6 years, which is longer than the Constitution stipulates.

Look; I carry no brief for Stevens nor do I give him much of the benefit of the doubt. He got work from people who owed him favors for little or no money. Regular people don’t get that kind of benefit.

I am tired of it from Dems and I am extra tired of it from Republicans who say that they are better than Dems and can’t prove it.

Stevens is also one of the most ear-marking SOB’s in Congress and because of Representatives like him we can’t get rid of the pork. Pork which is killing all of us. I got nothin good to say about him even if he is “innocent” of making the false statements that he is alleged to have made.
