My GOD!!!! Why are Democrats so adamant on NOT using the true deficit figures? If 150 Billion is being borrowed from the off-budget trust funds and has to be REPAID.... then that 150 Billion MUST be added to the deficit figure. It's a LOAN just like any other. The most recent CBO estimates the on-budget revenue deficit to be 574 Billion and the OMB estimates 600 Billion. WHY DOESN'T KERRY SAY SO??????????

The only reason I see for the Democrats to so universally refuse to use the true deficit numbers is because they have been complicit in using the on/off budget scam to confuse if not deceive the American People about budget issues. Yet after Clinton managed a true ON-budget surplus of some 87 Billion in FY2000.... Democrats have NOTHING to hide. The scale of Bush's fiscal irresponsibility is staggering. The US can't even fund its own military without the help of foreign investors. Kerry should OWN this issue.

Damn it Kerry, get your act together and go for the jugular.

If Kerry and the Democrats can't be honest, maybe what this nation needs is a Citizens for Fiscal Truth PAC!
