| Smirk's "honorable discharge" needs to be investigated! It was NOT earned |
|
and in light of recent paperwork coming to the surface, clearly he should NOT have gotten an "honorable discharge."
Who did Poppy call to arrange this bogus honorable discharge for Smirk?
It is a slap in the face for all soldiers who really deserved and got an honorable discharge!
:grr:

From what I've seen, and I've not seen anything to dispute it, Bush just walked away from his obligations in Texas. He didn't secure permission beforehand. He got no official leave permissions. Just walked away.
Then, about half a year later, he showed up in Alabama wanting to transfer his service there.
From what I've understood about that era, most servicemen who did anything remotely like this were immediately packed up and sent to 'Nam. Instead, Bush got an honorable discharge?
SOMEONE intervened. This deserves looking into.

| 10. Not only that, he walked away one more time... |
|
According to the Boston Globe this morning, Bush's committment was not up when he went to Harvard. He was supposed to hook up with a Boston area NG unit to finish up and never did.

|
somehow procured a fraudulent "honorable discharge."
I would love to know who got leaned on to sign an honorable discharge for someone who was AWOL.

|
think about it....
Somebody in authority had a choice of starting a sh*tstorm from a high-ranking government official (GHW Bush)over a "less than honorable" discharge; or ordering him to active duty; or, they could simply give him an honorable discharge and forget about it. Administrative halitosis is not a good thing for a career officer wishing to be promoted....it has to be avoided at all costs.

| 7. You know what? I can relate to that poor career officer who probably, |
|
in all likelihood, had no choice but to stamp Honorable on Bush's discharge. We've likely all been in the position of having to "go along to get along" at some point in our careers.
What galls me is that the press now has nearly overwhelming proof that Bush did this, but do you honestly think it will get any significant play? I don't. It may get a few days worth from smaller sources, but do you see CNN, MSNBC, etc. making hay with this for OVER ONE MONTH, as they've done with the Swift Boat Liars? Sadly, I think the fix is in and this will be old news by this weekend.
Sigh. What in God's name will it take for the American press to wake up?

So how does an investigation get started? Can a lowly citizen such as myself request one? Anybody know?

| 6. We need a Rosebud moment here |
|
In order for Bush's false honorable discharge to come to light, we would need a Rosebud moment: the Commanding Officer of his command would have to admit to falsifying government documents.
That ain't gonna happen unless the guy's on his death bed and feels the need to come clean for Jesus.
