There was a lot of anger, despair, and consternation here last night

about how Kerry was being skewered in the media yesterday. On the network news, Imus,Hardball, etc. Do you think that skewering was a pre-emptive strike, i.e., they know they HAVE to hit Junior hard with this AWOL stuff. So in the interests of being fair and balanced (cough), they attacked Kerry first?

Could be crazy, and probably doesn't deserve its own thread, but I'm just thinking...
