Leslie tried to explain Bush's not being seen by Mintz by saying that he DID NOT take his flight physical, therefore, there isn't any reason for him to be seen in the flying area (whatever) of that particular base

THIS is the real issue, about which many threads have been started.

the reason for his ducking/failing the physical ("failed to accomplish", I believe were the words in his records) has NEVER been explained...AND Bush has given two or three different explanations

also, according to those who've posted knowledgeably on this, there is ALWAYS some sort of follow up investigation when a pilot doesn't take/fails a physical, including some sort of followup regarding said failure. They don't just DROP it when a pilot tanks on a physical. There has to be a paper trail on this, or an explanation as to why not.
