Dear Wolf,

Isn’t playing make believe fun? I just saw you on CNN with Sen. Biden – he of course being a real Senator and you of course pretending to be a real journalist. It must have been painful for you when Sen. Biden actually came across with the righteous indignation that so many Americans share, but that you, groveling at the groin of Mt. Saint President, fail to see. How’s the view from down there? Judging by your inability to so much as even mention the term fairness (heaven forbid actually exhibiting same) I would guess it’s rather, shall we say, one-dimensional. I would suspect that you and your brethren there at CNN have developed a case of the dreaded Codpiece Envy – CE for short.

It’s very easy to diagnose –the first symptom is a large yellow line that shows up, amazingly enough, where one’s spine used to be. This is followed is short order by route recitation of certain talking points, the inability to separate fact from fiction, and the funny feeling that both you and an ostrich have something in common.

It’s not a terminal by any means, but the cure requires that one first and foremost acknowledge the disease. Kind of like the first steps of AA, not to draw parallels with anyone, mind you.

If you’re up to the challenge, you can start right away. Trust me, you’ll feel so much better standing upright.
