Kerry should do this, Kerry should do that. If Kerry did then he would be a puppet. I'm sure he didn't need you then or now.

Unless, of course, he reads it here.
Actually, I hope he doesn't read the board. He'd paralyzed on a course of action.

if I'm not mistaken. A forum for people to share ideas... usually with the intention of being HELPFUL and SUPPORTIVE as to ENCOURAGE dialogue not shut it down. And if I may point out the hypocracy of your post... It is your speculation on what Kerry does or doesn't need... kind of like speculating on what he should or shouldn't do.

It's obvious from this and other posts I've read of yours that you generally don't like it here. This isn't the first chastisement you've handed out to the members of DU.

| 3. Kerry needed someone other than who he had! |
|
The first part of Kerry's campaign was a failure. He wasted money being "nice", like so many failed Democrats before him, when he should have been going after Bush constantly and with strategic focus.
Kerry can still win, and we're all going to work for that, but how many people here still deny that the first part of the campaing was a fuck up?
Kerry should be ahead right now - instead he's playing catch up and he looks reactionary, because his "strategists" were so wimpy that they refused to go on the attack until Kerry was down in the polls.
The effectiveness of all future attacks on Bush have been weakened because the wimps running the Kerry campaign refused to go on the attack early and often.
We have seen this pathetic "nice guy" strategy before from Democrats and it didn't work then, so why they tried it again, wasting tens of millions of dollars, should be questioned by every Democrat.
The problems with our party are bigger than just this election. We must help Kerry win, and then get rid of the wimps in the Democratic Party that has led to the Republicans controlling every branch of the government.

| 10. How about a degree in common sense - do you remember 2000? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 01:23 AM by Democat
Did you happen to see the 2000 and 2002 elections - as well as the entire Clinton presidency?
The Republicans control every branch of government, and they got much of that power running campaigns based on negative attacks. The public responds to negative attacks more than anything else in a campaign. Do you think that the Kerry campaign somehow missed noticing the party that controls every branch of government is the one that runs the most negative campaigns in history?
Kerry's fuck up "strategists" have once again put the Democratic candidate on the defensive playing catch up while Bush is on the offense with the momentum.
Even when Kerry wins this, he will be damaged by all of these attacks.
At least if we had invested those tens of millions of dollars in attacks on Bush, we would have been doing him damage, which we could build upon if he somehow manages to win.
The "nice" ads early in the campaign are long since forgotten, while Kerry's "flip flopper" image is strong with the public.
How could some idiots on DU with no degree see the obvious and the Kerry campaign geniuses somehow missed it all? How could they have not been paying attention in 2000 and what made them decide to run another "nice" campaign after what happened to Gore?
If you want to talk about allowing the Swift Liars to smear Kerry for weeks without a decent response, while the right wing goes on the attack the day any smear against Bush comes out, we can talk about that too.
The incompetence of Kerry's "strategists" would be funny if the stakes weren't so fucking high.

| 12. dieharddem: look at history: great ideas from "unqualified" sources |
|
sometimes a great notion comes from the "fans" of a field, the wannabees.
Einstein was blackballed by his profs and could not get a job teaching college. He had to settle for patent clerk. Which is where he wrote down his first big ideas. If the journal had rejected the ideas on the basis of him not being a professional physicist, ... well.
vanLeuenhook, inventor of the microscope... had some pedestrian job, i think.
Borodin was not working as a musician... he was a chemist all his life. "Night on Bald Mountain," i think.
Some great minds are not working in the field for which they have hi talent becase they are handicapped, severely, by body or mental ills at a young age. But they can still post great ideas here.
DU is a great source of ideas for the professional dems. Not to mention , it serves as a training ground for some who continue into campaign jobs. They OUGHT to practice thinking of what kerry SHOULD do, and post it here.

shit talking him like he was an idiot. But they don't and your giving me shit for pointing that out. Get real this is suppose to be support. So if someone has an idea he should bring it to the table like a man not an ass by bad mouthing his own man and saying he ought to do some ass kicking. That is not smart or manly. Get my point now? All this is whining little people who aren't doing anything positive just jack jawing.
