One suggestion...on some charts you have Kerry denoted by red and Bush by blue, and on others Kerry is blue and Bush is red. It may be helpful to maintain a single color across charts.
Good stuff...thanks.

dont get me wrong, as I love your optimism... but, the fact is that we cannot rely on the polls. we have seen voters disenfranchised, we have seen votes not be counted. the current administration is the most corrupt in my lifetime, and yes, I was alive during Nixon. the *ONLY* thing that will win this for Kerry, is a massive turnout of Kerry voters.
If the GOP succeeds in creating voter apathy, suppressing the vote in minority regions, or committing fraud, we are screwed.

| 5. I don't "rely" on polls. I just want to track the race as best as I can. |

There is a wealth of important information which is disguised by the media. Information is power. The more polls the better is our understanding. But we have to get beneath the numbers, stand back and learn from them.
For instance, the latest one-sided polls from Time and Newsweek were flawed to begin with. The general public knows nothing about using weights to "adjust" the polls. The public knows nothing about RV vs. LV polls.
The state polls have Kerry in front. And Kerry can win this with under 50%, although I expect he will do better than most expect. Bush cannot win with a minority popular vote, because of the relatively low number of electoral votes in his strong states.
You are right about turnout. And I have been screaming about stolen elections for over two years now at DU.
Yes, our work is cut out for us. But lets use the information we have as intelligently as possible. This will help us win, for we will truly believe we will win, knowing the trends that matter most.
