| Does anyone else feel that Sept. 11 has become a Republican holiday? |
|
After the Republican convention, it seemed like the Repubs claimed 9/11 as their own...an event to be exploited only for political purposes.

| 2. NEVER. 9/11 belongs to all of us as a day for remembrance. |

Senator Kerry should make a quiet, dignified statement, if he makes one at all.
So should the pResident, but he's already blown that chance.
Then it should be left for us to contemplate on our own.

Prior to 9/11, Bush looked a sure one-termer. Afterwards, he enjoyed some of the highest approval ratings EVER in the history of this country. Terrorism is the only card this Administration has to play, because he has so obviously fucked up everything else...ok, so he's fucked up terrorism, too...not so you'd notice it, though, if you get your news from that "goddamn liberal media..."
Funny, aren't these the people who accuse US of using fear tactics on senior citizens, ala "if the Republicans win, they will take away your Social Security?" But these guys are using fear tactics ON THE ENTIRE FUCKING COUNTRY!!
Pot, meet kettle.

With a ban on PUBLIC ass-patting. If George and Laura need to feel each other up in public, ala today's Withe House ceremonies, then they SHOULD GET A ROOM.

The Dallas County Democratic Party has suspened phone-banking today out of respect for the 9/11 victims and families - if the Republicans continue theirs today, however, that bolsters your case.
