CBS story=Trojan horse in Kerry/Edwards machine???

In my opinion, the CBS story is poison that we should all get away from ASAP. Not to get into the minutiae too much, and as much as I hate to admit it, those documents do seem shaky at best, and if when all is said and done they are found to be bogus, the less invested in defending them and drawing conclusions from them the less damage.

The upside of the documents and the whole TXANG story seems minimal to me; the downside (if they are forgeries), with investigations into Nixon-style dirty tricks, "What did person X know and when did he know it?", etc, etc seems catastrophic.

The story is already building a weird kind of negative energy that is sucking the oxygen out of the other more on topic and positive campaign issues.
