Isn't there ONE honest republican who will call Bush on all his lies?

Have we come to this that no one is willing to take responsibility and say that Bush must go. you all know the litany of charges, I don't have to list them here. At least with Nixon the republicans understood that for the good of the country, Nixon had to go. Are all the honest republicans dead?
What happened to TRUE patriotism where people put country ahead of party lies?

I honestly thought that they would be screaming by now but then I honestly thought the Democrats would have been screaming since the selection. I do not understand it at all except to wonder if they have been threatened in some way. I have tried to figure it out and that is the only solution my mind can come up with. Some kind of threat.

and I have read several persons stating that Olympia Snow and Susan Collins are ones who do not tow the Bush line--that is a myth. They do and are not inclined to make waves and do otherwise.

Olypia Snowe was all gung ho onm the floor of the Senate,to promote the Medicare Bill, in spite of it's addendums which stated that the US will not purchase drugs en bulk as CAnada does, in order to have lower prices for those who really have a difficult time budgeting in order to buy the medications they depend upon for their health and their life.

After that she travelled around Maine to senior citizen homes, to tell all those people how great the new Medicare bill was for them. Fortunately, not all senior citizens are confined to nursing homes and senior citizen complexes and can figure the fraud out.

Susan Collins was photographed with both Poppy and George in an extravaganza as she made her bid in 2002--she was smiling and laughing and eager for that photo op.

Both of them play it safe with their proclamations and individual bills, and neither is inclined to risk it and go against Bush in any way shape or form--They are loyal

I have heard anecdotally that many Republican congressmen are quietly distancing themselves from the Bush campaign this cycle. I wish knew how many, who, and where.

That's the first step. The second step is scandal. If only we could get one of that criminal bunch busted for something, we'll see many more Republicans slip away.

When Americans go into the voting booth they have to be thinking about the likelihood of very serious criminal investigations into the highest levels of government during a second bush* term. This will further paralyze our nation's inept response to living in the post-911 Age of Terror. Better to go with the guy with a clean slate.

i really thought after the lies leading up to the war with Iraq there would be one repub who would say, "enough is enough!" I thought at that time that the dem nominee for prez would have 20% of the repub vote....i mean think about it, the american people were lied to by Bush so that he could get his war in Iraq that is in a total mess and so many unnecessary deaths....for what? If that cannot get a repub to stand up and say "I love the repub party but this is sick...this is not what a president is all about, I have had enough of this" then nothing will....amazing!

The IWR was not a vote ordering Bush to go to war...it was a vote authorizing Bush to go to war if Iraq was an immediate threat and there was evidence that Saddam was connected to 911....dems voted for the IWR to put pressure on Saddam to sllow inspectors in....no other prez would have gone to war with the inspections going so smoothly....

but come on, let us be honest.

People voted yes for the following reasons: because they truly thought Iraq was a threat,or it was the politically expedient thing to do.

If Kerry followed your reasoning, that it pressured Hussein, & then Bush went to war anyway, why wouldn t he renounce it now?

Why not say, I voted yes to give Bush the power to go to the UN, etc etc, but seeing what he did, I would not vote yes if I had it to do over again. Because Bush lied to us, he exaggerated the threat, & he did not allow the inspectors to do their job.

from Kerry's speech from the floor of the senate right before he voted "yes" for the IWR.....he said that he was doing so to help Bush put pressure on Sadaam to allow the inepectors into Iraq....that is what he said.

And I have been saying what you stated above the past 8 months:

14. Sen. Lincoln Chafee voted against the IWR

which is more than Kerry or Edwards did.

He has publicly stated that he went to the CIA & asked for an intelligence briefing, because he wanted to know the threat Iraq posed for us. He said no where in the briefing did he see a threat to the U.S. from Saddam Hussein.

That took a lot of guts...to vote against his party & President. And whenever I hear him speak on issues, he tells the truth.
