| What happened to our much heralded 527s? |
|
I live in Washingtion, a battleground state. There used to be Moveon ads, as well as others running here. They were great ads that hit Bush hard on the economy. But I haven't seen one of those in months.
Meanwhile, Bush has a new ad out talking about the economy. All it does is state concepts like - 'fighting for good jobs', and 'keeping American jobs in America' - nothing about his actual record. It's pathetic!
I'd love to see some Moveon or ACT ads hitting the airwaves soon.

Also, I live in Washington, and I think we're pretty much secure for Kerry at this point... so Bush is spending a little cash here, and Kerry/moveon/etc. are focusing their cash on battleground states with closer margins.

| 6. They run that one here in Ohio, too. |

In fact, it ran immediately before the 60 Minutes II 'Killian Memos' segment. I agree with you, for a swing-state ad, it's pretty lame. That ep of 60 Minutes was the first network, prime-time television we've watched in this house (other than sporting events, and mostly those are on Sundays) in years, we seldom see network TV at home.
Did see an ad run during CBS News while we were eating dinner in a restaurant, Thursday evening. It was a DNC ad talking to a bunch of unemployed people with no insurance about their opinions on the economy and the success of Bush* tax cuts. I thought it a little low-key, but proably a good ad. The restaurant had a sporting event on another TV running on the PA system, so I couldn't hear the ad, but the DNC fixed that for me by flashing up quotes as the people spoke. It was done well, I'll give them credit.
As little TV as we watch around here, we never see any of the MoveOn ads. I don't think I've ever seen one other than online.

I think the funds have to be spent very carefully right now. Why spend it with the TANG stories coming out?
2nd week in October and you will see a push on all fronts, I think.

I seem to remember them being showed somewhere in late August, but I can't find them on the MoveOn website.

...the new slime from the Swiftboat Liars for Bush plays over and over again here in Ohio. I heard it twice within a 10 mins span last night during the 9/11 special on CNN. Nearly broke the TV.
