| www.mediamatters.org - sole purpose is to report on lies told in the media |

it's a progressive site
check it out for documentation of a lot of what is complained about on DU

they are among the sites which are reporting the unsubstantiated forgery story.
And their original article on Bush AWOL is among the worst things I've ever seen, filled with irrelevancies and ad hominems against Michael Moore, all to cover for Bush.
Factcheck.org simply sucks.

what you get is a phony "balance" which ignores the huge lies of the Bush administration, and makes it look like each side is equally dishonest, with an arbitrary means of choosing topics, and with inconsistencies in treatment of Bush and Kerry.
It's a pretty good microcosm of all that's wrong with the media, it is a model for how to reward liars.

Remember when O'Reilly likened them to the KKK? I love the fact that when faced with the truth, people like him become irrational and incomprehensible.

| 16. Media Matters should be required reading for every Democratic leader |
|
If Democratic talking heads would read Media Matters before going on TV, they would have better talking points and have a better understanding of the enemy.
