Look for two albums to be released at the time of the DVD.
http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=39357Filmmaker Michael Moore has reportedly struck deals with two major record companies - Sony BMG and Warner Music - to release two albums of music based on his movie Fahrenheit 9/11. Both albums are set for release on October 5, and a single by ex-Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha, "We Want It All," will hit radio this Monday, September 13. The song was produced by de la Rocha and Trent Reznor.
The compilation released by Epic Records will compile artists who Moore said provided inspiration to him and his crew while they were making the film. It includes the de la Rocha song, and previously released songs from Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, The Clash, System of a Down, Pearl Jam, Steve Earle and Jeff Buckley. It also includes a new song from the Nightwatchman, the alter ego of Audioslave's Tom Morello. Half of the proceeds from Songs And Artists That Inspired Fahrenheit 9/11 will go to the Fallen Patriot Fund of the Mark Cuban Foundation, which was established to help families of U.S. military personnel who have been killed or seriously injured in the current Iraqi conflict.
Warner Music will release the soundtrack with the film's score and several songs used in the movie, like Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" and R.E.M.'s "Shiny Happy People."
