repug leaning or run. On the WI poll I think I saw that was 700+ (can't remember the whole #.) I really think if they take a small among like that, these polls can show anything they want. Every since the big bounce after the convention I have been very suspect.... can someone tell me where I would be wrong?

8. I've been making calls and its not looking pretty.

Five to one "Wrong Way" folks. I'm in a heavy non-Kerry stronghold area, but I think part of it is the folks running the campaign and how they are spending their money. I just took 10K bumper stickers to them -- this was a fighting issue because they want to "pay staff" to get out the votes instead of bumper stickers and yard signs. Anyway, I'm now trying to figure out ways to cover the cost of the bumper stickers (I've got $200 in pledges for my $1100 expense at the moment -- anyone want to sponsor some 11 cent bumper stickers in Michigan? Anyone?) My frustration is fairly immense...sigh. Smear Boats hit us pretty hard here, and we are NOT getting the good message out. #1 Complaint so far is National Security -- no one is happy with "Wrong Way" but they are NOT sold on Kerry.

That's a front line report, folks. :( I'm really counting on Kerry to be a "strong closer."
