As its name suggests, Swing State Radio is a radio campaign, targeted toward so-called "battleground states" in the 2004 presidential election. The goal of Swing State Radio is to assist in the defeat of George W. Bush, and in the election of John Kerry.

Our rationale for starting the Swing State Radio project is simple:

George Bush and his administration are diametrically opposed to the values we hold dear.

Radio is a low-cost, effective medium for grass-roots activism, where small donors have the potential to make a significant impact on the election outcome. As important as it is to give Bush the boot, it is every bit as important to win the election of candidates -- at all levels of government -- that support our values.

Donations to Swing State Radio will make possible the production of radio spots. When we reach $5000, we will produce the spots and post them on this web site. Additional contributions will fund testing and then airing of the spots in swing state radio markets. America Coming Together (ACT) has agreed to discuss the possibility of helping TruthandHope.org with targeting these radio spots, to ensure that we spend our money where it will have the most impact: in other words, helping us to get the biggest bang for the buck.

Donations will also help fund TruthandHope.org's web site and legal expenses. This is currently a grass-roots project, with no paid staff members.
