| So where the hell are the Congressional Democrats? |
|
Why isn't there a mass of representatives demanding an investigation into the Novak piece? At least for the publicity alone?
Why not an investigation into misleading intelligence before invading Iraq?
It's all well and good to lament the fall of Dan Rather, but why aren't our representatives in Congress making a greater public show of their dismay? Am I missing it? Have I just not watched enough news?

| 1. Novak committed treason |

it is not about protecting his source. I don't give a rat's ass at this point about the source (OK, should I happen to have a rat's ass, I might offer it in exchange for the info). NOVAK was the one who publicized her name and that is during wartime (WOT) and that is treason which is punishable by death.
I wish they would stop dicking around with the other journalists who did not report the story because they knew it would be wrong to out a CIA agent. Why won't they go after him personally?

Jerking off in a corner. What is the matter with them - they should be out there screaming, at least those from 'safe' districts,(I'm not entirely stupid) about AWOL, IRAQ, ECONOMY...
Screaming at the top of their lungs as though our lives depended upon it. Because it does.

It will take a long time, but there needs to be a new generation of fighting Democrats. The current Congresspeople and Senators are pretty bad. There are a few exceptions, but mostly they are just too wimpy and too afraid of offending anyone to be effective.
Even if we become the majority party, watch the Republicans kick our asses.

Over 360 seats a year are judged "safe" so once elected, you're in for life alomost.
I guess my point is they should be out on the Capitol steps as a party with a "Contract for America," not so much about policy, but about how they will not betray the public's trust on National Security and other manners like the current majority has. It will bring up the issues, and draw a sharp line--oh yeah, and get publicity.
