Some comments upon NATO memberships. 300 French 100 from other NATO folks for paramilitary, 3000 more troops from all of NATO, to join the additional 21000 more from USA. Much civil and other aid to Afghanistan from NATO nations, not just military.
There was a question from Major Garret from Fox News about Afghanistan laws against women's rights.
Obama stated it was a major issue, all NATO members were opposed to, and Obama found the law "abhorrent".
General dialog about working together with all NATO, etc. Much of what we heard before in prior news conference.
Applause at the end, AGAIN...not a custom usually seen in European news conferences with world leaders.
